Academic Year 2026–2027

The Docversity University Academic Calendar provides a structured framework for teaching, learning, assessment, registration, examinations, academic breaks, and other key university activities throughout the academic year.

The calendar is designed to provide students, faculty, academic departments, and administrative offices with a clear and predictable schedule while allowing sufficient time for teaching, independent study, assessment, academic advising, and institutional activities.

Important: Dates below should be treated as the University’s proposed academic calendar until formally approved by the appropriate academic authority. Program-specific calendars may differ where professional, clinical, practical, or regulatory requirements apply.

Semester I

Registration & Orientation

Registration Period: August–September 2026
Orientation & Induction: September 2026
Classes Commence: September 2026

The registration period provides new and continuing students with an opportunity to complete academic registration, verify documentation, select or confirm courses where applicable, and obtain access to relevant academic and digital learning systems.

Orientation activities introduce students to the University’s academic environment, regulations, student services, learning resources, digital platforms, and expectations for academic conduct.

Teaching Period

September–December 2026

Semester I teaching consists of lectures, tutorials, seminars, practical activities, online learning, independent study, research activities, and other learning experiences applicable to the specific program.

Mid-Semester Academic Period

October–November 2026

This period may include continuous assessment, assignments, presentations, practical evaluations, academic advising, and progress monitoring.

Semester I Examination Period

December 2026 – January 2027

Final assessments and examinations are conducted according to the approved examination timetable for each academic program.

Certain programs may have additional practical, clinical, laboratory, project, or professional assessments.

Semester Break

January 2027

Students receive an academic break following completion of Semester I requirements, subject to program-specific arrangements.


Semester II

Registration & Academic Preparation

January 2027

Continuing students complete Semester II registration and other applicable administrative requirements.

Teaching Period

January–May 2027

Semester II includes scheduled teaching, practical learning, assignments, research activities, independent study, and other academic activities prescribed by the program.

Mid-Semester Academic Period

March–April 2027

Students may undertake continuous assessment, practical activities, presentations, projects, research work, and academic advising during this period.

Semester II Examination Period

May–June 2027

Semester II examinations and final assessments are conducted according to the University’s approved examination schedule.

End of Academic Year

June 2027

The academic year concludes following completion of teaching, examinations, assessment processes, grade processing, and required academic administration.


Important Academic Dates

Registration Windows

Students are expected to complete registration within the published registration period.

Late registration may be permitted only where authorized under University policy and may be subject to applicable conditions or administrative requirements.

Add / Drop Period

Where applicable, students may request course additions, withdrawals, or changes during the University’s designated Add/Drop Period.

The availability and conditions of course changes depend upon the student’s program and the University’s academic regulations.

Examination Periods

Examinations are scheduled at the end of each academic semester or term.

Students are responsible for checking the official examination timetable and complying with all examination regulations.

Results & Academic Progress

Following examinations, assessment results undergo the University’s applicable academic review, verification, and approval processes before being released to students.

Students may also receive academic progression information, including requirements for continuation, reassessment, or completion where applicable.


University Holidays & Academic Breaks

The University observes designated academic breaks and institutional holidays throughout the academic year.

These may include:

  • Semester breaks

  • Annual academic recess

  • Public holidays recognized by the applicable jurisdiction

  • University-designated holidays

  • Administrative closure periods

The exact dates of public and institutional holidays may vary according to applicable national regulations and University decisions.


Graduation & Academic Completion

Graduation activities are scheduled following the completion of applicable academic requirements and the formal confirmation of student eligibility.

Graduation Period: June–August 2027

Students completing their programs during the academic year may be invited to participate in graduation ceremonies or other approved academic completion activities according to the University’s graduation regulations.


Academic Calendar for Online & Blended Programs

Students enrolled in online or blended programs follow the academic calendar applicable to their specific program.

Although online students may have greater flexibility in accessing digital learning materials, they remain responsible for:

  • Completing academic activities within published deadlines

  • Attending scheduled live sessions where required

  • Completing assignments and assessments

  • Observing examination schedules

  • Meeting program progression requirements

  • Monitoring official University communications

Programs involving clinical education, laboratory work, fieldwork, internships, practical training, or other in-person requirements may have additional dates that are published separately by the relevant academic unit.


Program-Specific Calendars

Because Docversity University offers programs across different academic disciplines and delivery formats, certain programs may operate according to a program-specific academic calendar.

Examples may include:

Medical & Health Sciences
Clinical rotations, practical training, hospital placements, and professional assessments may follow additional schedules.

Agriculture & Environmental Sciences
Fieldwork, practical training, seasonal activities, and laboratory or field-based assessments may require additional dates.

Research Degrees
PhD and research-focused programs may follow individual research milestones, proposal reviews, progress assessments, and thesis submission schedules.

Online & Blended Programs
Digital learning activities may follow a structured academic timetable while providing appropriate flexibility for asynchronous study.

The applicable program-specific calendar takes precedence where it differs from the general academic calendar.


Academic Calendar Updates

The University may amend academic dates when necessary because of academic, operational, regulatory, public-health, governmental, or other exceptional circumstances.

Any changes will be communicated through the University’s official communication channels.
